EG breaks through the paradigm of magic which heavily relies on the visual performance, and attempts to seek innovative expressive possibilities through ‘performing illusion’, a new experimentation of the genre. Punctum
is an idea which originates from the Latin word ‘punctionem’, meaning ‘to puncture’. It signifies the moment when the work is received at a profoundly personal level of the viewer, regardless of the intention of the artist. ‹Punctum›
is an omnibus composed of short stories which express the images and impressions from the artist’s experiences that penetrate the viewer at a certain point in time. Through this work, EG shares another experience created by
each image beyond the simple visual performance.
